Christina Brown, BSW, MS/Nutrition
Certified Wellness Coach
Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner

I came to the profession of coaching with a background in health education, social work, nutrition, mindfulness education, and energy work. Currently I work part time as a behavioral coach with
Able To, a successful service supporting clients to sustain lifestyle and behavior changes necessary for their desired wellness. I earned my coaching certification at a nationally recognized program,
Real Balance Global Wellness Services, LLC after a layoff from a 16 year position as a health educator. My experience from coaching was profoundly beneficial as I was going through this life change. I used the valuable tools which I have available for my clients, and progressed into a career that is a perfect fit for my professional skills and passion. I understand the challenges that we face when we are changing something in our lives, no matter if the change is welcomed and exciting, or perhaps, unwanted, yet necessary for our well being.
I completed a 3 year course with advanced training in Transformational Healing, a form of energy work based on some of Barbara Brennen's work. Additional to that I have completed Reiki II. I have been practicing energy work for the past 10 years, and have witnessed some astounding break throughs for people, as well as the deep relaxation that is enjoyed in the safe space of the energy work.
Lastly, I have been a mindfulness educator for the past 5 years, and have had a dedicated mindfulness meditation practice for the past 7 years. I am happy to share the mindfulness practices with my clients.
I am deeply aware of how imbalance can be a barrier to our success with sustained change and a fulfilling life. I often evaluate my stress level and my beliefs, and balance life relaxing, meditating, engaging in physical activity, and spending time doing what I enjoy. I make a point of being out on the dance floor several times a year and gathering with loyal friends often for laughter, loving connections, and support. With the help of the coaching tools, I reflected and employed all of this carefully while going through my challenging period of unemployment. This is what I do for my clients as well.
